Sarah Lawrence
Sarah discovered Modern Jive 8 years ago when a work colleague took her along to a class and she hasn’t looked back since; she is three times Advanced MJ champion and holds three Open level MJ titles. Sarah also has a background in gymnastics and cheerleading and has recently studied in Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz and Commercial dance at the Ruggieri Dance Academy in London. In addition to MJ, Sarah has a passion for West Coast Swing and regularly attends events and intensive classes to further extend her dance vocabulary.
Matt Cox
Matt studied a National Diploma in Dance at the age of 17 covering Ballroom, Ballet, Contemporary and Street dance, and has since qualified as a street dance teacher. Matt was introduced to Modern Jive by a close friend 8 years ago. He quickly made a mark on the scene and began teaching regular local classes in 2010. Matt made his MJ competition debut at the Blackpool tower in 2015 placing in 4 categories, and repeated his success at a national competition in London where he was awarded the highest accolade of Grand Master. Matt holds four Open level titles in Modern Jive and placed 1st in the Novice category at his first West Coast Swing competition in Nov 2015.
